Actualize Your Career
Actualize Your Career
Performance Enhancement
Our Process - Begin by taking a hard look at yourself and Identify what is holding you back. Develop a strategy to make real change.
Step 1 - In the initial assessment we will select assessment tools, for example a personality assessment, emotional intelligence, career-leader, temperament to help us identify where to begin the process
Step 2 - After we review the results we will meet to determine the best course of action and identify specific strategies, including cognitive, emotional and behavioural strategies to begin to make changes in your life.
Step 3 - Ongoing support and consultation. Many of our clients arrange to call us on a weekly basis for strategy, motivation and support.
We must be willing to get rid of the life we‘ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
- Joseph Campbell, American anthropologist (1904-1987)
We have worked teachers, social workers, financial advisors, bank managers, executives and others to effect real change. We have helped clients avoid mistakes and make decisions that put them on a different path.
Sometimes you need someone on your side to listen and tell you what you need to hear, not always what you want to hear. By working with an Performance Coach you can provide yourself with opportunities to reinforce the changes you want to make.
Career Actualization requires clarity, focus and the development of mental toughness. Many of our clients hold themselves back from success because they can not find ways to move past patterns of unsuccessful past behaviour. It is very difficult to make change and achieve success when you do not know how or where to begin.
However, it is possible to make changes. Change does not occur over night, but with persistence and effort you can make a change.
What do we mean when we say ACTUALIZE YOUR CAREER? According to the dictionary to make something ACTUAL is to make it real. When we speak about Actualizing your career we are speaking about Actualization closer to the concept of Self-Actualization as described by Maslow
Career Actualization becomes an ongoing process of crafting and re-inventing your career over time so you can spend your time doing what you want to do, where you want to do it and how you want to do it. All roads of our career actualization process lead you along this journey.
For some people a best fit job may involve a job with certain material rewards, a salary, benefits and certain prestige. For others a best fit job may mean location, co-workers, hours of work, types of job activities.
Do not underestimate the value of different job factors beyond salary. Working closer to home may be worth more than making $10,000 more and spending house commuting and being away from family. We have worked with many, many career professionals who said that they wish they had sacrificed financial gain for personal and family gain. Be prepared to re-evaluate your needs and benefits throughout your career before you realize too late what cost you have paid.
