ARE YOU SEEKING CAREER CHANGE

ARE YOU SEEKING A PROMOTION

Are you seeking to change your relationships or how you are perceived at work?

A successful career transition does not occur overnight. We suggest re-evaluating your career status every 1 - 3 years.

A planned career transition will often require between 6 months and 9 months (or 12 months in a poor economy) and even more if you require skills and education upgrading.  Therefore, you should always be in a state of preparing for transition.

An unplanned career transition can occur suddenly. You may not have 6 - 9 months to make an effective change.

We can assist you with planning and managing both a planned and an unplanned career transition. We understand the process and toll of both.

Connect with us on an ongoing basis, every now and then, to identify and discuss your options. We may provide you with ideas and strategies you had not considered.

Career Transition

One of the biggest challenges in your career will be to effectively manage the opportunities, situations, people and relationships involved in your career. Finding and selecting the right career opportunities, managing your relationships at work, developing the necessary skills on an ongoing basis can be the difference in your career journey.

Our Process:

In order to successfully make decisions and changes one of the skills you will want to develop is emotional awareness, mental toughness and focus. Throughout our consultation process we can provide you with techniques to change the thinking and behavioural patterns that may be holding you back.

Step 1 - Identify and Assess your current career status

This can be a very difficult task to undertake. It involves assessing and evaluating everything about your current career status. How relevant are your skills, how are you getting along with co-workers and supervisors, what are your options, are there any behaviour patterns at work which may be holding you back or creating problems now or in the future.

Through the consultation process we can ask questions and determine what challenges you may be facing and provide you with guidance on how to determine your options.

Are you having challenges in the workplace? Do you understand why you are not getting ahead, getting along, being more successful?

Are you in the right job, company, role?

Are you happy, comfortable, fulfilled, engaged, respected, balanced. Does your job or career suit the lifestyle you and your family desire?

Step 2 - Evaluate your Options

Sometimes you are not even aware of your full range of options. Through the consultation process you will have the opportunity to first identify and assess the status of your current career and then logically evaluate a range of possible options. It is our role to introduce and help you evaluate options you may not have otherwise considered or may not be certain how to evaluate.

Step 3 - Develop a Strategy

Developing a career strategy is vital to positioning yourself to at least pursue and hopefully achieve Career Actualization.

The biggest challenges career professionals face are often related to workplace management challenges or work life balance. A strategy to manage these challenges often requires changes in thinking and behaviour. These changes often require an initial consultation and ongoing support.
